Questions, answered straight

The unwynd FAQ · updated 30 July 2026

What is unwynd?

A private workload firewall. Before you answer a calendar invitation, unwynd shows the time it adds, the likely finish, whether it crosses the boundary you chose, and a safer reply when one genuinely fits. Later, it shows whether changed commitments coincided with better outcomes in your own record. Internal planning estimates rank options; they are not medical or biological measurements.

What can it see?

Only the data needed for the action you choose. Calendar pricing uses times, availability, and your rules without needing meeting titles. Task titles are retained only when they must be shown back to you. Raw Apple Health samples stay on your phone, and health context is optional. Source status and freshness remain visible so cached or missing data is not presented as current.

Does the AI read my life?

No. Deterministic questions such as “How many meetings did I have this week?” are computed without a language model. Cross-source questions use explicit time overlap or aggregate joins and name the sources and date window. When a model is needed for wording, it receives an approved evidence summary, not raw health samples. If the required source or evidence is missing, unwynd says what is missing instead of guessing.

Will it move my meetings without asking?

No. Every calendar change is preview-before-save: unwynd shows you exactly what would change, you confirm, and completion appears only after the calendar provider returns a receipt. Failures stay visible with a retry. Undo appears only when the provider supports it.

Which sources work today?

The Sources screen is the authority for the account on this phone. It distinguishes ready, stale, reconnect-required, denied, and failed states. A connector being present in the code does not mean your account is connected.

I work different hours on different days.

Set a per-day work window in Sources → Work hours — the day unwynd draws and prices follows it. Fully rotating shift patterns (changing week to week) aren't supported yet; that's on the record, not hidden.

How long until it knows me?

The first invitation price is useful as soon as a calendar and finish boundary are ready. Personal patterns take longer. unwynd withholds them until it has enough comparable observations, then shows the sample, date window, sources, and uncertainty. If the evidence is too thin, it explains what is missing instead of inventing a finding.

Can I leave, and take my data?

Yes, in one tap each: full export (everything we hold, machine-readable) and full delete. Delete means delete: rows gone, tokens revoked. No retention tricks, no "30-day recovery" holding your data hostage.
